"Clay Gnomes" Hand Building Class Ages Teen+ 11/16/24

<div>Create your own tall hatted gnome figure of your own design complete with accessories and details to make it truly unique. Learn different techniques and increase your hands on experience with wet clay! This is a Teen and up class.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>In this class you will learn:</div><div>How to cut and prep clay</div><div>how to use the slab roller</div><div>relevant tools/uses</div><div>cutting shapes/patterns</div><div>round and squared forms</div><div>slipping, scoring and assembly</div><div>form holding</div><div>proper storage and handling of drying pieces</div><div>proper tools and studio clean-up</div><div><br></div><div>$50 Each student will be able to create one gnome of their design and choosing.&nbsp; Pieces will be slow dried and bisque fired (first firing) within 14-20 days.&nbsp; You will be notified when your piece has been fired and you will have one month after notification to come in and glaze your piece at your convenience.&nbsp; &nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>By taking 2 or more clay and/or wheel classes with us, you become eligible to sign up for open studio hours where you can work independently on your own projects.&nbsp; If this interests you, please ask us for more information.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br></div><div><br></div><div>Ticket reservations are required for all classes a minimum of 24 hours before the event.&nbsp; Classes start promptly at listed times and will take the entire time listed.&nbsp; please arrive a few minutes early to get settled.&nbsp; Snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) are permitted.<br></div><div>&nbsp;</div>
