2 1/2 hour intro to the Pottery Wheel Class at Seize The Clay

Really give the wheel a spin at Seize the Clay! Our 2 1/2 hour lessons are a great way to build wheel throwing skills for the first time! In this intro lesson, our instructor will demonstrate the basics of centering the clay on the pottery wheel by throwing a bowl. After the demo, you will get to throw up to 6 bowls. You can come and relax in this fun lesson or bring a friend! A $100 class fee (plus TN state sales Tax) per person covers EVERYTHING for your lesson including glazing your bowls at a later date!<div><br></div><div><i>Ages 16 and up are recommended for this 2 1/2 hour pottery class. However, if you have younger children that you would like to sign up please call or email the studio to discuss how we approach pottery wheel lessons with kids BEFORE signing up.&nbsp;</i></div><div><br></div><div>901-323-2991 - seietheclay@yahoo.com&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Class fees are non-refundable<br><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;POTTERY IS A PROCESS&nbsp;</div><div>-Pottery will be made the day of your lesson. -Pottery will be dried, cleaned, and bisque fired within 2-3 weeks of your lesson.</div><div>&nbsp;-Bisque firing is the first firing that ALL pottery must go through before it can be glazed.</div><div>&nbsp;-Our staff will call you once your pottery is ready to be glazed. -No appointment is needed to come into the studio, anytime during business hours, to glaze your pottery (once you've been called and told it's ready.).</div><div>&nbsp;-Please add our studio number (901-323-2991) to your contacts list so you will know who's calling when your pottery is ready to be glazed.</div><div>&nbsp;-Once bisque fired, your pottery will be held for 6 weeks before being discarded. If you can not come to the studio and glaze your pottery within that 6 week period simply stop in a pick up your unpainted pottery.&nbsp;</div><div>-Our staff will wrap up your unpainted pottery pieces so that you can bring them back anytime to glaze them. -Once glazed, glazed pottery pieces have to be fired again and are ready to pick up in 1 week.<br></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: medium; text-align: justify">*Ladies and Gentleman please be prepared to tie your long hair back and short nails are highly recommended.
